Terms of Service

Last updated: 23 May 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Decker Field Service Software ("Decker", "we", "us", "our"), the website at getdecker.app, and the related software service (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Quick summary: Decker is field service software in pre-launch. Founding pre-orders lock in lifetime pricing for the first 25 customers per tier. We promise to ship within 90 days or refund you in full. You can cancel any time. We are not Black & Decker.

1. About Decker

Decker Field Service Software is cloud-based software for managing field service operations — scheduling, customer records, quotes, invoicing, payments, and messaging — designed for solo tradespeople and small service teams (plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, handymen, locksmiths, photobooth operators and similar trades).

Decker is currently in founding pre-order phase. The Service is being polished for general availability and is expected to ship within 30 to 45 days from the date of your pre-order, with a maximum delivery window of 90 days (see Section 4).

Note on naming: Decker Field Service Software is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Black & Decker (the tool brand), Stanley Black & Decker, or any other "Decker" trademark holder.

2. Eligibility

To use the Service, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction).
  • Have the authority to enter into a binding agreement on behalf of your business, if applicable.
  • Provide accurate and complete information when registering.

3. Founding pre-orders

3.1 What you get

The first 25 customers per tier (Solo and Pro) who place a founding pre-order receive founding pricing locked for the lifetime of your subscription:

  • Solo tier: $19 USD per month (regular price will be $29 per month after the founding period).
  • Pro tier: $39 USD per month (regular price will be $79 per month after the founding period).

"Lifetime" means for as long as you maintain an active, continuous subscription. If you cancel and later re-subscribe, the founding price no longer applies.

3.2 Payment

Founding pre-order payments are collected manually via a Payoneer invoice sent to the email address you provided. You agree to pay the invoice within 7 days of receiving it. Payment processing is handled by Payoneer under their own terms.

Once Decker ships, your subscription will continue at the founding rate and your customers' in-product payments (if you enable payments) will be processed by Stripe at Stripe's standard processing rates (currently 2.9% + 30¢ in the US, country equivalents elsewhere). Decker does not add any additional processing fee on top of Stripe.

3.3 Founding spot reservations

Founding spots are first-come, first-served. We will notify you within 24 hours of your form submission whether your tier is still open. If your tier is full, we will offer you the regular launch price or place you on the waitlist for the next available founding spot, at your discretion.

4. 90-day delivery guarantee

If Decker is not delivered (made available to you in working order) within 90 days of your founding pre-order payment, you are entitled to a full refund of any amounts paid, with no questions asked. To request a refund under this guarantee, email contact@getdecker.app at any time after Day 90.

This guarantee applies only to the founding pre-order payment. It does not apply to any third-party charges (such as your customers' payment processing fees through Stripe once you are live).

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel anytime. No long-term contract, no cancellation fee.

Cancellation requests should be sent to contact@getdecker.app. We will confirm cancellation within 2 business days. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Beyond the 90-day delivery guarantee (Section 4), founding pre-order payments are non-refundable once Decker has been delivered to you, except where required by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.

6. Use of the Service

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You will not:

  • Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation, or to infringe anyone's rights.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service without our written permission.
  • Use the Service to send spam, phishing messages, or unwanted commercial communications.
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or anything intended to disrupt the Service or other users.
  • Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person or business.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

7. Your content and data

You retain ownership of all data and content you upload to the Service ("Your Content"), including customer records, job notes, photos, invoices, and messages.

You grant Decker a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. We do not use Your Content for advertising or sell it to third parties.

You are responsible for backing up your important data. While we maintain backups as part of our operations, we make no guarantee that we can recover specific data if you accidentally delete it.

8. WhatsApp messaging

Decker integrates with WhatsApp for messaging your customers. WhatsApp is operated by Meta and subject to Meta's own terms and policies. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining your own WhatsApp Business account in good standing.
  • Complying with WhatsApp's messaging policies (no spam, no unsolicited promotional messages to customers who haven't opted in).
  • Any messaging fees that Meta may charge for WhatsApp Business API messages.

9. Third-party services

The Service uses or integrates with third-party services, including: Stripe (payments), Payoneer (founding invoice processing), Web3Forms (form delivery), Google (analytics), Microsoft (Clarity analytics), Meta (WhatsApp), and Hostinger (web hosting).

Your use of these services is also subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of these third parties.

10. Service availability

We aim to keep Decker available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, security, or reasons beyond our control. We will give reasonable notice of planned downtime where possible.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. You use the Service at your own risk.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Decker's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $100 USD, whichever is greater).

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption, even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Decker harmless from any claim, loss, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with reasonable notice where practical. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. The provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution) will survive.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to you by email or by a notice on the website at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which Decker is operated, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will first be attempted to be resolved through informal good-faith negotiation by emailing contact@getdecker.app.

If we cannot resolve the dispute informally within 30 days, either party may pursue the dispute in a court of competent jurisdiction.
