Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Decker Field Service Software ("Decker", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit getdecker.app, sign up for our waitlist, place a founding pre-order, or use our software (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Quick summary: We collect the minimum data needed to run Decker. We do not sell your data. We use industry-standard analytics (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity), and payment is processed by Payoneer (pre-orders) or Stripe (in-product payments). You can request data deletion any time by emailing contact@getdecker.app.
1. Who we are
Decker Field Service Software is operated by an independent founder providing cloud-based field service management software for solo tradespeople and small service teams. Decker Field Service Software is not affiliated with Black & Decker or any tool brand.
Contact: contact@getdecker.app
Website: https://getdecker.app
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide directly
When you fill out a form on our website (waitlist or founding pre-order), we collect:
- Your full name
- Your email address
- Your business name and business type (e.g., plumbing, HVAC, electrical)
- The country where you operate
- Optional notes you choose to include
Form submissions are processed through Web3Forms and delivered to our business email at contact@getdecker.app.
2.2 Payment information
For founding pre-orders, payment is collected manually through Payoneer invoices. We do not store your card or bank details — Payoneer processes payment directly and you transact with them under their privacy policy.
Once Decker software is live, in-product payments processed by your customers go through Stripe. Stripe handles all card and bank data under their own privacy policy. Decker does not store payment card numbers.
2.3 Automatically collected information
When you visit getdecker.app, we automatically collect:
- Device and browser information (browser type, operating system, screen size)
- Usage data (pages visited, time on page, links clicked, scroll depth)
- Approximate location (country and region level only, derived from IP address — we do not collect precise GPS location)
- Referrer URL (the page or source you came from)
- Anonymized session recordings via Microsoft Clarity (mouse movements, clicks, scrolls — but no keystrokes or form input contents are recorded)
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your waitlist or pre-order inquiry
- Send you the Payoneer invoice for your founding pre-order
- Provide product updates and onboarding information by email
- Improve our website, identify bugs, and understand user behaviour
- Comply with legal obligations (tax reporting, fraud prevention, etc.)
- Communicate with you about your account, your pre-order, or the Service
4. Analytics and tracking technologies
We use the following third-party tools to understand how visitors use our website:
- Google Analytics 4 — measures traffic, sources, and user behaviour. Google may use this data per their own privacy policy.
- Microsoft Clarity — provides anonymized session recordings, heatmaps, and click maps. Per Microsoft, Clarity does not record keystrokes or form input. See Microsoft's privacy statement.
- Vercel Analytics (if active on deployed origin) — privacy-friendly traffic measurement.
These tools may set cookies or use similar technologies (local storage, pixel tags) to function.
5. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies, including:
- Strictly necessary cookies — for the website to function (e.g., remembering you've dismissed the announcement bar).
- Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to measure how visitors use the site.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may affect site functionality.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Service providers who help us run the Service: Web3Forms (form processing), Payoneer (founding pre-order invoicing), Stripe (in-product payment processing), Hostinger (web hosting), Google (analytics), Microsoft (Clarity analytics).
- Authorities when required by law (subpoena, court order, valid legal request).
- Successor entities if Decker is acquired, merged, or transferred — in which case your data may transfer to the new entity, who must honour this Privacy Policy.
7. International data transfers
Decker is operated from a single location and serves customers globally. Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States and the European Union. Where applicable, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent legal mechanisms to protect your data during international transfers.
8. Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy:
- Waitlist submissions: retained until you request deletion.
- Founding pre-order records: retained for 7 years after delivery, for tax and accounting purposes.
- Analytics data: retained per Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity defaults (typically 14 to 26 months).
You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing contact@getdecker.app.
